Now in its 15th year the Worldwide Reinsurance Awards is the only awards ceremony that has been internationally recognised by the reinsurance industry since its inception. Last year’s winners included Karen Clark (Lifetime Achievement), Scott Moser (Industry Personality) and Swiss Re (Reinsurance Company). Details of all the previous years’ winners can be found by clicking here along with photographs from the 2007 event.
Recipients of the Worldwide Reinsurance Awards are chosen from entries taken from around the world which are then adjudicated by a distinguished judging panel of industry chief executives. Other winners on the evening included Guy Carpenter’s accident and health team for Reinsurance Broking Team of the Year; Asia Capital Re for Company Launch of the Year; Equitas for Reinsurance Initiative of the Year; Benfield’s Industry Analysis and Research team for Analyst/Researcher of the Year; the Malaysian Insurance Institute for Professional Service Provider of the Year and Carvill’s Dr Steve Smith for Future Industry Leader.
There are 10 categories to enter this year including Reinsurance Company of the Year, Reinsurance Broking Team of the Year, Company Launch of the Year and Re/Insurance Initiative of the Year. For more information on all the awards categories click here. Entering is easy: you must first decide on which category or categories you wish to enter, then follow the criteria for each category and submit a 500-word statement outlining why your company should win. Nominations may also come from other companies or individuals who feel a particular company or person should be considered.
The deadline for entering the awards is Friday 23 May 2008. The winners will be decided by our distinguished panel of judges and will be announced at the awards dinners and presentation on Wednesday 3 September 2008 at the prestigious The Dorchester hotel, Park Lane, London.
